Cheshire County Council spent £75000 building us a footpath that links our village to the railway station in nearby Mouldsworth. This has helped many people leave their cars at home and let the train take the strain.

The provision of the footpath was pressed for by the late County Councillor John Burke, a local representative and formerly Executive member for Highways and Transportation who died in late 2007. Our new bench carried a plaque in his honour.
